Link to First Gold Search via University of Colorado Library Web-site (Chinook)

Select "First Search Gold and Silver" from the Access Data Bases List. Proceed to First Search Gold. Once in Search First Gold you will need to select a Data Base that you would like to search. I recommend either Medline, ArticleFirst and/or ECO.

First Search Gold is a Web based search engine that allows you to enter key terms and search data bases that index scientific journal articles for matches to those key terms. Often you can get a copy of the abstract for the scientific paper displayed within your Internet Browser, and sometimes you can download a copy of the entire article. Other times, all you will get is the citation for the article (i.e. authors, title, journal, volume, page numbers, etc), and then you will have to go to the library to access the article (if our library doesn't carry the Journal, you can use Zap to request a free copy of the journal article).
