The Colorado Undergraduate Journal for Psychological Research
Description
The Psi Chi Boulder Chapter has worked to create the empowering opportunity
for psychology and neuroscience majors at the University of Colorado to publish
their research in a printed journal that will be distributed across the department
and across campus. In its second year, the annual Colorado Undergraduate Journal
for Psychological Research (CUJPR) seeks to acknowledge
the hard work undertaken by our undergraduate researchers and to share and
distribute the knowledge these students have contributed to the fields of psychology
and neuroscience.
Requirements
The CUJPR aims to include student work that has been completed as an honors
thesis. Requirements therefore include all of the standard APA manuscript
components (e.g., abstract, results). However, rather than submitting a full
manuscript to the journal committee, please submit the paper as you would like
it published. Thus, if you are interested in submitting your research for publication
in the CUJPR, it is recommended that you consult with your thesis advisor to
get an idea of how to trim your written thesis to a 10 to 15-page article and
for review prior to submission. Due to restrains of time and resources on the
part of the student and hence the overall quality of the project, research
conducted as part of a course in research methods is unlikely to be accepted
to the journal. A link to a downloadable document outlining the specific requirements
will be available to this webpage shortly, as will a specific descriptor of
the submission requirements is below.
Deadlines
We understand that this is an extraordinarily stressful point in the spring semester; thus, at this time we are not enforcing a specific deadline. However, we aim to have all of our submissions by April 13th. Please communicate with one of the individuals listed below regarding when you expect to submit your manuscript. As manuscripts are submitted the journal committee will review them and select several for publication. Applicants may be contacted for questions regarding the paper or for editing requests.
