Examples include control group versus treatment group or males versus females. Note: The procedures for analyzing two groups are special cases of the procedures for three groups. Hence, you can always select the option "three or more groups" to find an appropriate procedure for one independent variable. However, many consider the special procedures for two groups to be simpler so you may want to use them if you have exactly two groups of scores.
