Lab Mission
We investigate the mechanisms of human language understanding. Most of our research uses a method called Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) to record the brain's electrical activity. We use ERPs to investigate the neural processes that allow the brain to recognize words and to combine the meanings of individual words into larger, complex representations, such as phrases and sentences.
