Social Psychology Research Group
We work with schools to improve student performance and reduce racial and gender gaps in academic performance. We provide workshops, presentations, and consulting in order to help schools successfully apply scientific research to improve student performance at their school.

We use practices and surveys that are based on scientific methodology. Given the multitude of intervention choices school districts face in trying to raise student performance and remedy the race gap, schools must separate those strategies that are effective from those strategies whose effectiveness is uncertain. We believe that rigorous scientific methodology is a way to do this.
We also work with schools to help (a) assess the social-psychological factors operant in their school environment using validated measures and (b) administer and evaluate theory-informed interventions aimed at improving student performance and reducing the achievement gap.
