Research Interests

My research interests are in the area of relationships and intimacy. Rather than studying what causes romantic relationships to fail, I am interested in studying what causes them to flourish. I am especially interested in better understanding what interpersonal factors lead to greater closeness and intimacy between partners as well as relationship factors that lead to greater individual well-being.
