Overview:

This is a graduate level survey course that examines the basic concepts of genetics with an emphasis on behavioral phenotypes the psychology of individual differences. Topics include: basic molecular genetics, Mendelian disorders, disorders with complex genetics, elmentary methods of analysis (twin method, adoption method, linkage, association) and animal models. Content areas include: memory, intelligence, personality, general psychopathology, antisocial behavior, and substance use/abuse.
