RESEARCH
My laboratory  investigates how people understand language.  I use neuroscientific and behavioral measures as well as computational modeling techniques to approach this issue. Most of my current work uses scalp-recorded event-related potentials (ERPs) to study neural processes involved in language processing. The lab includes a 64-channel Neuroscan EEG system. Here are some representative publications

BIO
I received my Ph.D. in experimental psychology from The University of Pennsylvania (1994-2000) and then did post-doctoral training in electro-physiological methods at The University of Washington (2001-2006). Before becoming a psychologist, I studied computer science at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign  (1987-1991) and worked in computational linguistics at University of Edinburgh  (1991-1993).  I have been at Colorado since 2006.
