Research Associate/Assistant Positions
Research Assistant/Associate, Department of Psychology
Nature of work: This position involves many aspects of conducting an ongoing grant conducted through the Psychology Department. The grant concerns the developmental psychopathology of bereaved children and their caregivers as well as assisting in the development and testing of programs at Judi’s House, a non-profit Bereavement Center in Denver that serves predominantly high-risk families. Duties involve traditional research activities, such as data management and analysis, research design, and assisting students. Further duties include coordination and close collaboration with staff members and administrators at Judi’s House. Travel between Boulder and Denver is frequent, although not daily.
Qualifications: An ideal candidate would understand the complexities of integrating research into a community-based agency. We seek skills in field research, group interventions for high-risk children and parents, and agency consultation. To identify an excellent candidate we will consider individuals with a range of relevant Master’s or Ph.D. degrees. We encourage applications even from individuals, who do not have all ideal qualifications but will evaluate candidates accordingly.
Salary, Benefits and Position: Either full-or part-time arrangements can be considered, depending on applicants’ needs and background. Salary depends on experience, education and time commitment. Usual university benefits are available.
To Apply: Send vita and cover letter to Louise Silvern, Ph.D., Principal Investigator, Judi’s House Evaluation Program, Department of Psychology, CB 345, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO 80309, or Louise.Silvern@Colorado.Edu. Identify at least three professional references, but indicate if you wish to delay contacts with them.
