1. Bridge/fork processes are pretty fragile -- it might be working
   also and not updating the screen.  To debug be sure to use the
   Update button on the netview and the main issue is whether the
   information is being copied to the ext input on the trg net.  I
   assume you've checked out the demo project?

2. No, you can't self connect context units (assuming bp srn setup?).
   However, the hysteresis parameter effectively represents the
   strength of the self-connection from the context unit's prior
   value.
