Random starting point in SRN sequences

Hi folks,

I've got a SRN learning various 25-step sequences. Rather than always
presenting it with a complete sequence during training, I'd like to begin each
training sequence at a random starting point (e.g. begin at step 16 and run to
the end). Seems like I should be able to muddle with the initialization of
the sequence process, to set the tick.val and cur_event.index fields to a
random starting value each time the processes is initialized. Unfortunately,
can't figure out how/where to do this. Can I tell the processes to call a
script when it is initialized? Do I need to write some code and recompile
(would prefer not to as I am running from precompiled binaries currently and
anticipate difficulties compiling on my current machine).
