Re: installation of end users version of 2.0a or 2.0b for LINUX

I just added the following note to the README file on the ftp site,
which should address problems of incompatibilities between other linux
distributions. The new binary file is:

ftp://grey.colorado.edu/pub/oreilly/pdp++/pdp++_2.0b2_bin_LINUXstat.tar.gz

LINUX users:

The LINUX version was compiled under RedHat 6.1, and uses dynamic
libraries that make the executables much smaller on disk and in RAM.
However, these binaries might not work under other distributions.
Therefore, if you encounter difficulties, you should download the
LINUXstat version instead of LINUX. It has statically-linked
binaries, which can be run directly without any further configuration
or dependency on system shared libraries, and should work on any
version of Linux.
