Help: installation's problems with LINUX
I tried to install pdp++1.3 (only the end user's version) using a PC
computer (pentium II) supporting a LINUX OS.
The distribution of linux I have is Corel Linux which corresponds to Debian
2.1 with the kernel 2.2.12 and glipc 2.1 (libc6).
I think there is several problems with the version of the libraries. For
example when I try to run bp, I receive the mesage:
error in loading shared libraries
/usr/lib/libstdc++_libc6.1-1.so.2: undefined symbol: _IO_file_open
I don't install all the extra_lib given at the colorado site (libc5 not
installed because I have libc6) and have a problem with libreadline.so.2:
the program asks for libreadline.so.3 but the given version is
libreadline.so.2 and my system version is also libreadline.so.2.
Are there easy solutions ?
Does the version 2 have these problems ?
Or is it necessary to recompile all the sources (and which version, 1.3 or
2) ?
Thank you.
